Eisenhower's 4th Annual Color Run

Eisenhower Elementary just held their 4th annual Color Run! The kids raise money by running in the color run each year. The PTA uses the money raised to purchase technology, playground equipment, pay for field trips, or anything the school needs. The kids even get cool prizes for raising pledges each year! 

6th Annual Career & Technical Education Showcase WHS

The Wellington High School held their 6th annual Career & Technical Education showcase April 26. We were definitely impressed by the x-carve, 3D-Printer, Plasma Cutter, and all the web design and art they had out for show. We have some very talented young minds here in Wellington. Thank you teachers for educating our youth in ways I never would have imagined when I (T.D.) was in school back in 2008!

Haskins-Ybarra case gets continuance

       Erik Haskins-Ybarra again appeared before Judge Scott McQuin on Thursday, April 27. Haskins-Ybarra was granted a continuance until Thursday, May 4, 1:30 p.m. at which time he is to pay his $100 fee for a court appointed attorney or face having his bond revoked.

       Haskins-Ybarra was arrested February 1st on a Sumner County Warrant for: (1) 2 counts of Domestic Battery; (2) Robbery; (3) Malicious Cruelty to an Animal, & (4) Cruelty to an Animal.
