You often hear, "Third times the charm", this winter season's SENIOR / PARENT NIGHT ceremony certainly worked out that way.
The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders hosted their counterparts from Andale Friday evening out at WHS. The Varsity squads battled hard early on but in the end, the Indians had taken control, and won 4 of 4 Varsity and JV games played. Here's how the scoring went:
BOYS VARSITY (3-6)
The Crusader Varsity Wrestlers were in action Friday and Saturday at Rossville, taking part Saturday in the 15 school tournament and returned home with "3" 1ST PLACE Finishes and a couple of "4th's. As a team, the Crusaders placed 4th with 125 team points. Congrats to the Crusaders for their fine matches this weekend in Rossville!

The 2018-2019 Crusader and Lady Crusader Basketball seasons got underway Tuesday evening, on the road at Chaparral HS, for the first of 3 rounds of the Cheney Invitational Tournament. WHS will host Pratt at WHS on Thursday (2nd round) and then the teams move to Cheney HS for the Championship Finals on Saturday. Teams and times for Saturday TBD.
Both the WICHITA EAGLE and TOPEKA CAPITAL JOURNAL selected "3" Lady Crusaders and "1" Crusader for State-Level Basketball Recognition!
