Lady Crusaders WIN * WIN - Tuesday is SENIOR NIGHT!

Our Crusaders and Lady Crusaders hosted CLEARWATER Friday evening in what will be their next to last HOME stand slated for regular season play. This Tuesday will be that last HOME stand and it will be SENIOR NIGHT, WHS will be hosting Collegiate.

The Lady Crusaders continue to add "W's" to their Win-Loss Slate. Both the Varsity and Jr. Varsity girls won easily over their Lady Indian counterparts. Here are those outcomes and also the boys:

WHS had "6" varsity wrestlers in action this weekend at PRATT HS, the site of this season's REGIONAL 4A Tourney. All "6" wrestled hard and "3" will move on to the STATE 4A Tourney this coming weekend, 1 as a REGIONAL 4A CHAMPION!!
 

Junior Quinton Redford (126 lbs), Junior Kanden Young (182 lbs),  & Sophomore Kenny Fehrman (220 lbs) all "3" qualified for STATE 4A Tournament!

Fehrman didn't just qualify, he is now the 2019 "220 lb." REGIONAL 4A CHAMPION!! Redford came in 4th in his wt class, Young, Regional 4A Champion Runner-Up!

In addition, WHS was represented by "3" other talented wrestlers, Brennan Cantrell, Montana Heacock, and Trystan Johnston. The best thing of all - ALL 6 of these young men will be back next season!

Congratulations again to Sophomore Kenny Fehrman - REGIONAL 4A WRESTLING CHAMPION!!

It was opening day Saturday, for the 2018-2019 PATRIOT LEAGUE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT, being played at Haysville West (BOYS), and Rose Hill HS (GIRLS). 

Congrats to the 8th Gr Lady Knights who downed Prairie Hills and advanced to the Championship game slated for this Thursday at 6:15PM (Feb. 21st) vs Clearwater (@ Rose Hill HS). Here are Saturday's outcomes from both venues:

@ Haysville West 
7A Boys lost to Haysville West 39-46
8A Boys lost to Haysville West 39-41
(In January, the 8A Knights beat HWMS 56-54 (2 OT's), and then just recently, beat HWMS 40-35. That 3rd win is always tough to get - great season Knights!)

@ Rose Hill 
7A Girls lost to Prairie Hills 19-30
8A Girls defeated Prairie Hills 46-17
WMS 8th Grade Girls will play for the PATRIOT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP Thursday at Rose Hill HS @ 6:15PM vs Clearwater - GO LADY KNIGHTS GO!
