John Troutman’s Case


Troutman bonded Thursday after his court appearance, bond remained set at $100,000.

John Troutman and his attorney, Chad Giles, appeared before Judge Mott in Sumner County Court April 5th.

Giles asked for a reduction in Troutman’s $100,000 bond saying Troutman had no previous criminal history and he was agreeable to wearing a tracking monitor and being cared for by his family. The bond reduction was opposed and a future court date of May 24, 1:30 p.m., has been set.

The original arrest was made after Troutman was charged with one count of aggravated arson, two counts of arson of dwellings and one count of fraudulent insurance fraud in the March 7th arson fires. The three structure fires were at 216 South F, 217 West 4th and 1621 West 8th in Wellington.
