Citizen Applications For City Boards/Commissions

 

The governing body asks that anyone interested in being considered for appointment for any of the board or commission positions that expire in April 2018 submit an Application for City Boards/Commissions by December 31, 2017, to the City Clerk’s Office. The application form is available in the City Clerk’s Office or is available on the City’s website, www.cityofwellington.net, on the Boards and Commissions page. Additional information on the Boards/Commissions is also available on the website.

 

The City Boards/Commissions that have member terms expiring April 30, 2018 are the following:

 

Airport Advisory Board- 1 position, must reside in the City

 

Board of Zoning Appeals- 2 positions , 1 must reside in the City, 1 must be a resident of the area outside the city’s limit. This area is the three-mile zoning jurisdiction outside the city’s limit.

 

Healthcare Authority Board- 1 position, must reside in the City

 

Housing Authority Board- 1 position , per HUD requirements member must be a resident of the manor and be served by the facility.

 

Library Board- 1 position, must reside in the City

 

Planning Commission- 3 positions, 2 must reside in the City, 1 must be a resident of the area oustide the city’s limit. This area is the three-mile zoning jurisdiction outside the city’s limit.

 

The appointment to any Board/Commission position is for a four-year term and the term will begin May 1, 2018.
